Turn key OFF and ON for 5 times
Anyone removing your Avalon battery.
Turn your key to ON.
Then once you change the battery the car should crank without a problem.
No alarm.

Can not get out of PARK
The brake must be applied before it will come out of park
Brake light switch may be bad
Fuse to brake light may be bad
In emergency
There is a cosmetic plug on the shift column
Pry it out, used small screwdriver
Pull down the little catch while shifting out of PARK

Brake lights stay ON
possible bad switch
possible broken spacer
between switch and pedal

NO brake lights
It has a sensor for the indicator
if any lamps are bad.
If defective
it will not pass through voltage
The center light may still work.
