things that might go wrong
Wrong keyboard for US (need to change default keyboard)
- can not put hash mark in programs
- it used British Pound symbol - does not work
Mouse may quit - will work if unplugged then plugged back in.
- Power supply. Needs to be a good one. Cheap USB cables will drop voltage and cause problems
If color spot appears in upper right corner, the power supply is weak
Deleted Start button, or deleted Menu botton or tool bar.
- It happens to the best of us.
- Copy the panel from root (will be unchanged) to user
Wireless hangs - if idle some time - system will not see it
- will work if unplugged/plugged
- May be power supply ??
If image has been saved for backup
may not be able to write to new SD card
cheap SD cards may be a few bytes too small if it has bad sectors
- may not be able to copy image the second time if file system was expanded
Hard drive will not boot if power is lost
- it does not unmount the hard drive
- work around is to swap out the sd to one that boots without hard drive
- shut down normal, swap back the hard drive sd card and it should boot
