How many times can you be cleansed from all unrighteousness?
What makes you righteous in the first place.
Only the blood of Jesus.
Past, present and future sin is forgiven
as far as the East is from the West.
We are made righteous, never to be unrighteous again.
In justification He declares righteous
all who put faith in Christ as Savior
- 22 Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ
- unto all and upon all them that believe:
- for there is no difference:
- 24....shall not come into condemnation;
- but is passed from death unto life.
- 9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin;
- for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin,
- because he is born of God.
Are we unrighteous if we sin?
Does that mean that we no longer do anything wrong. Of course not.
But we are not under the penalty of sin.
So does that mean that you can do anything and still go to heaven?
Does that mean you can get away with anything?
Yes, you will still go to heaven,
but you can not get away with anything.
God will whip you even as a father corrects his son,
not as a penalty, but to bring you back into the correct path.
You can be doing nothing, and God may whip you.
- 17 Therefore to him that knoweth to do good,
- and doeth it not, to him it is sin.
