Flush power steering

Need jack and jack stands

Have 16oz cup available to catch fluid

Have 2 liter empty drink bottle to catch fluid

Need small plastic bag

Need rubber band

Need extra power steering fluid (transmission fluid)

Remove hose from bottom of power steering reservoir and place cup to catch the draining fluid.

To plug the drip,

place the plastic bag over the hose connector

and secure it with the rubber band.

A string or wire could be used,

but the rubber band is quick and easy.

Place the hose into the mouth of the 2 liter bottle to catch the fluid

Jack up the car and place on jack stands.

(To make it easy to turn the wheels.)

Fill the reservoir with fluid

Turn the steering wheel to the end of travel.

(May need the key to unlock)

Do not start the car

Add more fluid to the reservoir

Turn the steering wheel the other direction to end of travel.

Fluid  should be draining into the 2 liter bottle

Repeat adding fluid and turning the steering wheel until the fluid is running clear.

Remove the 2 liter bottle.

Place the hose back on the reservoir.

Fill the reservoir until full.

Remove the jack stands
